There are a lot of wonderful events being planned for our upcoming Gallery Stroll, as part of the town-wide celebrations,
Brewster for the Holidays. Here are a few, so far...and check back frequently, as new events are being added daily.
Studio on Slough Road will be hosting a life drawing session, open to the public (all ages & all abilities) on Sunday, Dec. 8 - from 1:00-3:30. Model, Laurel Labdon, "Ms. Wheelchair Massachusetts" will be modeling in holiday costume. Anyone who wants to participate is invited to bring their own easel and materials of choice to be part of a creative group!
Also, the Studio's monotype press will be available to those who wish to make a monotype.
Struna Galleries will be hosting a book launch of the new historical novel,
The Old Cape House, by author, Barbara Eppich Struna, with cover art by Timothy Jon Struna. The public is invited to meet both the author, who will be signing copies of the book, and the artist - at the gallery where all of his work is on display.
Teichman Gallery will host of repeat of their very successful paper sculpture activity from last year. Artist Milton Teichman, will be demonstrating technique, while the public is invited to try their hand at their own sculptures, which they can then take home.
Dickerson Gallery will host art activities for kids throughout the weekend. Younger kids can color in holiday pictures, drawn especially for them by artist, Kate Dickerson. Older kids can try their hand at still life drawing. Jack & Kate Dickerson will be on hand to encourage and give advice to budding artists. Kids will go home with their own masterpieces. All kids must be accompanied by an adult.
